Patrice's Porch Chat

Welcome to the porch for Patrice's weekly chat. Here are the questions for this week:
1. What did you have for breakfast this morning?
2. What's your favorite kind of juice?
3. Have you tried Pinterest yet?
4. I can't wait for __________ from my garden (or farmers' market/CSA/neighbor with green thumb).
5. The worst job I ever had was __________________.
My Answers are:
1. Coffee. I'm not a breakfast person. I know...sometimes I guilt myself. I like oatmeal. I'll bet Wendell likes his oats, too!
2. I like pineapple-orange-banana, especially with coconut juice...hold the alcohol! *lol*
3. I have never tried Pinterest. I need to find out what it is all about!
4. I can't wait for the flowers in the garden! They always cheer me up!
5. The worst job I ever had was retail. It is just so tedious. I respect those who do it well, though. An informed salesperson is very valuable to their employer and the consumer.

  1. Oh, I love orange pineapple banana juice - the one Dole makes! I'd forgotten how good that is. Thanks so much for visiting Janie's Porch. I so look forward to getting to know you!

  2. Flowers will be wonderful. We have some crocus already. I think most retail jobs aren't that great, but maybe it's just my personality.Wendell loves his oats. We feed most of our horses oats. The seniors get senior feed, because it has more nutrients that they need.

BTW- what is a polydactyl- as in the words in your profile referencing your cat? It sounds a lot like a dinosaur. lol
    Have a great week!

  3. Patrice, *LOL*! Maggie is a polydactl Maine Coon. She is NOT a terradactyl, though she has been known to bite on occasion. But we won't go there. A polydactyl cat has extra toes. Maggie has 2 extra toes on each front foot. She actually has thumbs. I love polys.

  8. Hello, it's Rachel from Ladybug's Abode. I guess I didn't read your blog yesterday. I think in my haste to get off the computer I skipped your link on Patrice's Porch.

I love Pineapple-orange juice and with banana would probably be wonderful. Throw in a little strawberry too and oh, my I think it would be heavenly.

Oh, sorry! I was going to say, you don't need to see what Pinterest is all about, really. Just a bunch of crazy people pinning pictures on a virtual pegboard. JK Check it out, there is a lot of interesting stuff out there. Just call the Pinterest Police if you need anything flagged. ;-)

  9. Yeah, I have to admit that retail is not the most inspiring job. I remember the slow times followed by mad rushes when you didn't have enough hands. But I always enjoyed it. I worked in a record store - back when they still sold vinyl!

  10. My DH won't eat breakfast through the week because it takes up too much time. I keep after him saying, it's been proving that breakfast eaters live longer. There's a good reason why you need to eat regularly, too. =D

I use to love to drink pineapple-orange juice, but that's hard to find.

  11. You should always have breakfast - even a piece of fruit will do. There's a reason it's called 'break/fast'. People can't function as well on an empty stomach; it's why lots of schools have breakfast clubs.

    Here endeth the lecture :)
