This is an amazing picture, blazing fire with lake in the background, but it doesn't appear to be contained, which is frightening. I visited Yellowstone Nat. Park after their great fires years back, the scorched earth and blackened trees were heart-wrenching. I hope everyone takes great care in this time of drought!
I hope, it's not a wild fire either. Living here we get our fair share, during dry season the Everglades tend to burn... we've driven on I-75 and flames were licking behind the canals.
It is hot and dry here as well and this would make me very scared! i too hope this was a controlled burn. Stopping by to say Hi from W.W. linky @ Create-with-joy.
The picture is great. I hope it is a controlled burn.
ReplyDeleteYes, what Beth said. We sure hope that's not a wildfire!

Looks a little scary, but beautiful at the same time ... Plenty of water around, just in case :)

ReplyDeleteFire makes for some interesting pictures, but the real thing can be a bit scary.
