My Turquoise Years: A Memoir

Ms. Farrant captured all that was 1960! She tells her story of a time and place, and the people who filled it along with her.

Adolescence is not easy for most of us, especially when you add the problems of family. MAC Farrant shares her relationship with her mother, who never quite outgrew her own self-centered ego. She also relates her connection with her father, made difficult by his occupation as a sea captain. Raised by a paternal aunt and uncle, they play major roles in her life, and this book. She learns about her parents, family, and life itself from them, and from observing them.

MAC Farrant is gifted in her character portrayals, as well as her description of time & place. Great memoir!
