Oh that is such a red white & blueish post and so very true, our Olympians whooped some behind in the games. we should all be proud, thank you for this post *.*
All Olympians are to be applauded: I couldn't go through what they do.
I try not to cheer for any single country; endeavor, instead, to maintain the illusion that such events might actually foster international harmony. I guess I'm probably kidding myself.
*Just to clarify: I applaud & respect all who particpate in the Olympics. I think it is a great thing to come together as one. However, as in all sports, I do cheer on my "Home Team".
...and happiness and peace with you as well!
I actually like winter sports better but I still watch a few of the summer ones during the Olympics. Gymnastics fascinate me and the swimming although I will probably get stoned for saying this but I'm real tired of Michael Phelps. Time to move on Mike. There are others. :) Yeaah. That ought to get a stone or two my way. I love 'em all but I am a USA fan!!
We are too!!! All of the 'kids' from around the worlds are great though, aren't they!!!My Brit/London kids escaped to over here for a couple of weeks (more for the stay-at-home dad and the girls). We took the 3-year-old to the circus:With granddaughter at the circus--Jim's Six Words for August 4..
They do make us proud!!
I am very proud too. God Bless America!
