Whispered


She stood there suitcase in hand, unsure if she could really do it. She was frozen with the fear of leaving, but also that of staying. Thoughts of all that had happened over the years raced through her mind. 

From deep within her a whisper said, “You have survived.” Somehow, 
as she walked out the door, she knew that she would be fine.

  4. She may feel somehow she'll be fine but after all those years of whatever it was she endured, the best "fine" will have very serious "costs".
