  1. Oh how I love those photos! And the names of the furbabies? Makes mommy wish she had a dozen more kitties (nit that I would permits that!) Mommy has several thousand hard cover books and a third of the books are soft cover now that she thinks of it. Some are old old friends that she has read 20-30 times, as with Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. That struck her as a young girl. It still does.

  9. Liter-acy is a favorite with us as well. So "World Book Day" hits home in this household. A good book while sitting on the John ... can't beat it:) Can't wait for your next scoop ...

  10. I didn't realize it was World Book Day. :-)

You know, I bought my first e-reader at the end of November. I had held off for so long because I *love* the feel of a book, turning a page...and I used to love the smell too, even of (especially of) second hand books. (Can't smell anymore, so that's lost to me.) So it has surprised me to no end that I actually don't miss reading hard copy books, but prefer the e-reader. Perhaps it's because I can adjust the font size and line spacing--a huge plus with my middle-aged eyes. LOL.

  12. You kitties are really smart and quite industrious. Like our mom, who loves to read, we usually fall asleep as soon as we open a book. We have to depend on the humans to read out loud to us.
