Breathe

Eyes felt, not seen
through the dark window.
My breath becomes fog
in the night, hiding
what light makes clear.
Eyes are windows to the soul,
fogged only by feelings within.

  2. Beautiful... soft and true! I am an eye-watcher, they do indeed tell us so much about a person, and just as you say, our emotions filter what is seen. I love your choice of image for this poem too.. perfect match.

Thank you so much for taking the lead at Two Shoes Tuesday... I hope we'll have some other folks give it a try!

  5. This was very powerful. I don't generally enjoy poetry, it always seems "above me" somehow...but this one got through.

If you are serious about wanting bookcovers made - let me know and we can work something out.

  12. I really like this! It is interesting how we can "feel" eyes on us even when we don't see them. I too like the "fogged only by feelings within" close. Nice write McGuffy.
