  4. O Mrs. Mac, I don't envy you one bit. I do like being alone for a bit, but six weeks?

You could change the 'days' in this song to 'weeks':

Well I pulled out of Pittsburgh rolling down the eastern seaboard
I've got me diesel wound up and she's running like a never before
There's a speed zone ahead but all right,
    I don't see a cop in sight
Six days on the road and I'm gonna make it home tonight

I got ten forward gears and a Georgia overdrive
I'm passing little white lines and my eyes are open wide
Just passed a Jimmy and a White, I've been passing everything in sight
Six days on the road and I'm gonna make it home tonight

Well it seems like a month since I kissed my baby goodbye
I could have a lot of woman but I'm not like some of the guys
I could find one to hold me me tight,
But I could not make believe it's right
Six days on the road and I'm gonna make it home tonight

  10. Such a long time to have to be apart, I'm glad you're 2/3 of the way thru this count, I know how eager he is to get home and spend some time with you and the girls, and now Stella too! Will be counting down the days with you, and praying him a safe journey until he arrives safely at the door!

  14. And that's the truth ... it can never be the same without him there. Two weeks and he is home and suddenly gone again. I often think alone would be nice once in awhile, but not for the long periods you have to live with. Good that you have your girls and a few friends to help you fill the time. Sorry McGuffy ...

  25. Make lots of plans! The last time my husband spent time away, I used the time to visit friends, see places I don't normally don't go, and catch up on reading of books and watching of shows. Before I knew it, he was home. :-)

PS I love the homecoming idea.
