Cats & Dogs

We were a home without a dog
for about a year. The cats had
grown accustomed to that, and
then we brought Stella home.

They really were fine without a dog,
except for Chloe Jo, who loves
everyone who will love her back.

It took a little convincing that we
"needed" a dog again. It wasn't hard,
they just didn't see it as a need.

Grizelda is not a dog fan at all,
though she has been quietly
accepting of Stella.

She was afraid of what the dog may
be capable of. Chloe Jo should worry;
as she is the one wants constant
attention from everyone.

Of course, everything went fine.
They all worked it out, and
everyone knows their place
& what to do.

Stella pretty much goes with the flow;
she knows she is outnumbered
(it's pretty much like this).

Truthfully, Stella completes our family.
Maggie P., Grizelda, & Chloe Jo
all love her, and she loves them.
Of course, we love them all
and they know it.

  1. The graphics fit the story very nicely. Especially the last one as I was kind of thinking that anyway.

    Have a terrific day. Scritches to all the babies. ☺

  3. You should do this more often ... LOL and cry at the same time. This is such a good, true story and nobody could have told it better than you ...

  10. I never doubted for a moment that you would help Stella find her place in the family and help her feline sisters get accustomed to having a d-o-g in the house again. This was a delightful post, it was my lunch break smile for the day, thanks Annie! Stella is so blessed to have been chosen to be a member of your furry bunch, and what a sweet little treasure she is!

  16. Awww! Sweetness! Our two cats regally accept our two dogs having a place in the home...as long as the dogs know it's on the floors and that the cats can virtually go anywhere they please. :)

  18. I just about fell off my chair laughing when I got to the "tar and febered" one. Your cats are much more tolerant than mine, they barely welcome new cats to the family. Thanks for the giggles.
