Dreams

The dust of my dreams
collects in my heart,
where it began
at the very start.

Lights shimmer and glow
through the cold dark night.
Wrap your heart in your soul,
and close your eyes tight.

Dreams will come silently
and carry you away.
No one will know
what your heart cannot say.

I like the last stanza of the poem the most ;o)

  2. Me, too, I like the last best (you saved it there for us, a goodie).

My mind wandered, to my very personal dream,

    Dreams will come silently
    and carry you away.
    No one will know
    where you've had your stay.

  4. You have so much beauty, both sadness and joy, tucked away in your heart. You are so blessed to be able to put it in words in ways that all can understand and feel. This is yet another beautiful poem ... I do see another book coming, yes?

  17. This is a most beautiful poem, Annie! It flowed so softly that I could feel my own dreams wrapped up in the lines, and in the perfect photograph to accompany them. Each verse has lines which stand by themselves and yet combine for a deeper understanding. Seriously, this is excellent. I love the tone, to me it was more philosophical than sad. Such a wonderful TST poem, thank you for sharing your words with us!
