Twilight

The full moon glows,
itself to transpose.
Dreams are just hope
through which we cope
with things that daunt;
while achievements we flaunt.
It’s secrets we keep;
we hide them so deep
in the dream-filled night
beyond the twilight.

  1. Love it. I do things like this but not often and I guess I will enjoy yours and leave mine deep in the computer's dungeon. xo

  3. Great poem! I always like to say false hopes are better than no hopes at all.

  5. Beautiful, Annie! I do so love full moons, and yes, they are time for deep thoughts and dreaming. You are so very right that we hide much of ourselves away in the shadows, no one else really knows all there is. Great contribution for Two Shoes Tuesday, thank you dear friend!

  8. I love this Mrs. Mack. I like to find those secrets and reminisce. Sometimes I forget where I had put them or even what they were or were like.

  9. Dreams come easy in the dark where boundaries are blurred and anything is possible. Secrets on the other hand are like your own hidden box of chocolates. How your writing set my mind on a journey.

  12. So few perfectly chosen words tell the story of someone's life ... a not so dream filled reality.
