Christmas Trees & Cats

It is time to deck the halls & trim the trees!

You can never have too many lights,

& you need lots of garland and bows.

Cats especially love to help with the tree,

they just need some supervision.

Have fun, but remember safety first!

  1. LOL I love the ones in the trees. I don't remember ours ever doing that. They tend to just nibble branches and sleep under it. Thank goodness for older kitties.

  3. It was my experiences pulling cats out of trees that convinced me to just take the kids to enjoy Grandma's tree!

  5. Very cute! Luckily for us, our cats like to hang out UNDER the tree, but they tend to leave the ornaments alone. They also, don't try to climb it, thank goodness. :)

  6. This had me laughing out loud. Because one of our cats, Missy, thinks we put up the tree as her indoor jungle gym, we have to tie it down. Doesn't stop her for reaching for the star on top though. :)

  7. I remember when our cats were kittens and would climb the tree. We had to install a hook in the ceiling to tie the tree top to or we'd find in on the floor every night when we came home from work.

  8. I think that cats love Christmas as much as humans do... trees to undecorated, wrapping paper and bows, all kinds of new boxes to try out for size, and an array of tasty treats like turkey! Wonderful post, Annie, it reminds me how much fun Sophie had removing ornaments from our last one, one at a time from the bottom up. It was her favorite game! Zip ties work great and are safer than hooks or wire. :-)

  9. I am so worried about Roxie's first Christmas tree! We know Lucy's vices but we get to watch Roxie and make a whole list of new ones!

  10. Our very first kitty, now angel, Skooter, got his head caught in the tree lights and pulled the tree over just as guests were coming up our front walk. That was crazy. It didn't happen right away, but our tree has been behind closed doors for many years. Right after the year, now angel, MacKenzie climbed up into the tree. These were really funny photos, especially the final one. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
