Let Me Know...

when it's Spring.

We have had a wicked Winter. It started early, and has not let up yet. We have had a vicious cycle of snow, subzero temperatures, and wind. As I write this post, it is -8 degrees, with wind chills of -18 degrees. It is supposed to get down to -20 tonight, with wind chills as low as -35.

Yes, please let us know when it is all over. Until then, bring your critters inside and wait it out in a nice cozy, warm place...together, if possible.

    1. Yes.We know how he feels, too. Stella is like that when I let her out. She is not a fan of snow. She is such a good girl, though. She deals with it. We all do.

    1. It is a deal, my friend. I think of you every time I watch the weather! You are deep in Packer's Country! Stay safe & warm.

  3. It has been an unfriendly winter and it must be so hard on the critters as the temperature fluctuate from extreme cold to warm and back and forth. Yes, bring your critters in...
I love the timid cat video but I suspect that the cat wasn't real... but the video made the point just the same.

    Stay warm and safe.
    Hugs,

    1. Julia, we have had cats who did this. Our tuxedo cat, Sam, would actually play peek-a-boo. She talked nonstop for 19 years, too.

  4. The cat peeking over the bed is funny, none of mine would move so slowly.
We aren't having as much snow or cold as your area but it has been dark and dreary for weeks. The freezing rain is coming tomorrow and hopefully the sun a few days later. Stay warm!

  6. Ha - that is the cutest lil cat face!! I love it when they do that -- it really brings to mind the hunters they are. Shows how hard it is to get rid of natural instinct!

as for the cold, we are so used to it up here. No sense in wishing it away -- we're in until at least late March, early April every year. *sigh*

  7. You probably know I'm in southeastern Ontario and this is the worst winter we've had in years. It's endless and I don't know anyone who isn't sick of it.

I guess we'll all have a very high appreciation of Spring this year, when she finally graces us with her presence!

  9. We've been a lot colder than normal, too, and are all longing for spring. Pity the mail carriers who can't stay indoors!

  15. That video is so funny and cute. We don't think we could survive if the temperatures got that cold here; though, this is the coldest winter any of us kitties have ever known. The high today was 18 and our 100+ year old house does not hold heat that well. You all cuddle up under the covers and stay safe and warm inside. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  16. Wow, that's cold.... I've been in -24 wind chills before and I couldn't breathe after about 10, maybe 30 minutes. I had five jackets on and had to cover my whole face. I hope it gets warm for y'all soon. Spring is just a couple months away! : )

  18. My laptop is messed up at the moment. It won't let me post anything new on MY blog! But, I can leave comments on it and elsewhere.....must be the cold! I've about had it with these cold temps, too. I couldn't see your video, either....that's not working on my laptop, either....Grrr, and a Brrr!

  20. Thinking of you all. This weather is crazy. We are having a heat wave this summer. It's usually hot here, but not for so many days in a row. The chooks don't seem to mind, they just find a cool tree, but the kitty and guinea pigs sometimes have to come into the air conditioning.
