U.N. Halts Whaling Program!

*Caution: Images may be disturbing!*
After three decades of whaling in the Antarctic,
Japan's whaling program is being halted by
official court order of the United Nations.
Japan's whaling program has long been under
scrutiny and highly questionable. While it was
labeled "scientific" by Japan, the whales caught
were processed and used for commercial
purposes, including consumption.
This is a major success for the future of whales!

    1. Beth, this issue has long been disturbing. It is hard to talk about some issues, but I cannot ignore. I feel that condones and allows this type of abuse and cruelty. Thanks for understanding.

  5. It's about time!!! Long long over due. I remember fighting for this back in high school. I actually adopted a whale through the WW Fund to help save them. His name was Colt and whenever they spotted him in the ocean, they would send me a picture. But eventually.....he was gone.
This is such an important victory towards protecting these beautiful, majestic creatures. thanks for sharing!
