Celebrating All Cats

Happy World Cat Day! I believe that we should celebrate cats, indeed all critters, every day. However, if we need to set aside a day to show others how wonderful they are, then let's do it.

Cats add so much to our lives. They are entirely honest with their feelings. They love unconditionally, truly giving from the heart. They ask so little, in return for what they give.

I have been blessed by numerous cats of all sizes, shapes, and colours in my life*.  So, on this day I honour each and every one: past, present and future. I honour all of the other cats in this world, too. Because we really are all in it together.

*Please visit my Critter Page to read some of my cat stories.

  1. Adorable image ... and look at that very special whisker!

  2. I had no idea! Happy World Cat Day you pretty thing! Love the heart.

  3. I second that motion. Every cat pulls at my heart strings! Each is unique, capable and loving if given the chance. I'm glad you keep track of these special days so we can celebrate the cats of the world with you.

  4. Happy World Cat's Day to all cats, everywhere. They have a home in my heart. All of them. And enrich my world.

  5. Happy World Cat Day!
We agree, everyday is a great day to celebrate our furry friends. At our house cats rule, even the fosters have their say around here.

  6. Happy World Cat Day! Someday i hope for a world where i don't need to work in cat rescue, that they all have a place.

  7. I had no idea it was world cat day. That might explain why my cat was being so demanding yesterday. ;-)

  8. I didn't know it was World Cat day until the evening news announced it. And here I should have been spoiling and pampering George and Gracie all day. Oh wait...that's what we do every day, so I'm not sure what else I could have done for them.

  9. I cannot tolerate people who are cruel to animals. Just.No. It actually will erupt violence in ME. Just, how dare you hurt them?! it breaks my heart and makes me crazy rage, all at the same time.
I miss being around animals like when I was a child, growing up around a farm is such a wonderful way to learn about all the amazing creatures. But I think I have finally convinced my husband to allow a pet in the house!! And it will probably be a cat because my son has actually asked for one for his birthday in September.
I am beyond giddy that some fur love will be in our home soon!! :)

  10. Love the logo. Love the whisker heart.

Here's how my cats celebrated World Cat Day.

  11. Both the photo and graphic were purrfect. I missed posting about World Cat Day. So happy to see someone who is not a "cat blogger" do so. I am sure your kitties are treated as if everyday is their day, just as mine are. Hugs, Janet
