Take Time...

I received this beautiful bouquet from my wonderful husband, Bill. It was delivered with a box of fancy chocolates a few hours before he arrived home last weekend. The roses are very special, as Bill always adds a blue rose to a dozen red roses. He has done this since our very first date.

Our weekend was wonderful. Time spent  together is so important, but it passes too quickly. Bill is back on the road now with another full schedule ahead of him. I already miss him, and look forward to his next "Home Time". Being apart never gets easier.

Please remember to drive safely. Respect truckers. Give them  space on the roads. Bill works very hard, and I want him to come home safely. Often.

  1. How very thoughtful of Bill to send flowers & chocolates! He sure knows how to treat his gal. :D I remember when DH worked out of town. It broke my heart to see him leave out and I know it was doubly hard on him, but he did what he needed to do to provide for the family. His sacrifice to keep a roof over our heads only cemented my loyalty and devotion to this man. Enjoy your time together as often as you can!

  2. What a wonderful hubby you have and how very thoughtful. It's hard when they leave on Monday and don't come home until Friday or Saturday. In your case, it probably isn't even that regular since he's a Trucker. My husband used to work out of town for 3 years and was gone from Monday-Friday. Those weekends went by too rapidly

  3. That is so sweet, adding another color to the mix! I sure know the feeling about driving safe. I was just leaving a shopping center parking lot, driving slow, worried about little ones, there's a daycare in the center, and also watching for anyone that would suddenly pull out, when barreling around the corner comes a young man driving way too fast, (a pizza delivery boy) luckily he managed to stop before we had a head on collision! It's maddening how so many idiot drivers out there only think about themselves and the heck with anyone else!

  6. Hmmm ... a romantic weekend after 33 years. Certainly says something about your marriage. I can't imagine watching my husband leave over and over ... I don't know how either of you do it. I know it is hard and you both do well in spite of it ... Beautiful post about a thoughtful husband and a loyal wife. :)
