love the old wash bins! we used 'em when i was growing up. (rinse bins, actually).
Old galvanized are the rage! Tom The Backroads Traveller
Perfect for Rubbish Tuesday. That's a great picture too.
Those are terrific wash bins or trash bins. I remember those for sure. Happy Tuesday to you.
I have many memories of those old wash tubs. We used them for laundry mostly, but I remember using them when we butchered 50 chickens in a day to cool the meat from freezing.
they look in great shape. I can think of a few uses for them other than holding old tires & weeds... maybe flowering weeds ;)Faythe @ GrammyMouseTails
Wow, the photo reminded me of the two wash tubs my mom had when I was a very little girl. They were next to the old electric wringer washer, used for rinse #1 and rinse #2. I haven't thought of them for years!
Lovely, another reason why I enjoy taking the back roads, or off the beaten path anyway.
Brings back memories of bath time when I was young. I've never seen a double tubs . We only had the one.Hugs,JB
Oh dear, I am afraid I remember those too! I am thinking they would look better empty, or with some plants spilling over the side..Thanks for stopping by my blog...Janey.
As nice as it is to see them, i'm glad i don't have to use them!
Makes me smile!
O, I would dearly love to have a couple of those olden galvanized wash tubs...I'd plant the most lovely of flowers in them in the summertime...
We used to have those - they would make smashing planters...that tire would have to go though.
Love the old washtubs with the tire. I can imagine them as really nice planters, however. Hugs, Janet
What an awesome find! I do remember seeing them as a kid.
I would plant tons of flowers in those!
Mom had washtubs just like these! Nice memory! Thanks for linking up!
Now that is a interesting snap. I love all the stuff in it including the old bench at the back.Diana
I remember having two big bins just like that for taking the laundry out to hang on the line! I think years later, when she finally got an actual washer and dryer, they were converted to ice buckets during our annual summer reunion. one for adults, one for kids - ha!
Those are cool old wash tubs. My grandmother had a set up like that when I was a wee tiny girl.
They would look nicer with some flowers in them. Nice find!
rubbish never looked so pretty!
I love that set of wash tubs...a cousin's wife has one she uses as a planter.
I've seen a few of these in my life time, but what I remember most is the old electronic machine washers with the ringer. My grandmother used one for years when I was small. I got my hand caught in that thing a time or two. Thankfully nothing ever got broken, but it scared me to death.
Great find but it's funny they are being used for storage, I think a planter with flowers would be a better use don't you?
A truly amazing surrealist scene!
