Fill In Fun #186

The "Follow Friday Four Fill-In" is hosted by Hilary at Feeling Beachie. Each week, she posts statement with blanks. Our mission, should we choose to accept, is to copy the statement and fill in the blanks on our blogs. Then link up to her blog for sharing. Hilary is always looking for co-hosts and more statements for us to fill in. Please visit her, and let her know your suggestions!

The statements & My Answers: #186:

1. Tomorrow I am going for a long walk with Stella. We like to take walks in the nice, cool Autumn air. Stella is a great friend to everyone. People and critters have gotten to know her and love her.

2. Does anyone live in safety, anymore? If so, where and how? The world has gotten to be such a scary place. People aren’t safe in public places that were once considered “secured”, but they aren’t even safe in their own space, their homes.

3. People sometimes judge others unfairly. While we really should never judge others, human nature tends to do that. It is worse though, when based upon misunderstandings rather than facts. We need to be more sensitive of other people’s life situations, as well as their feelings.

4. It is okay to put yourself first, sometimes. We each have our own way of coping with what life throws at us, and taking a break to take care of ourselves is a healthy way to cope. Some people like to pamper themselves with a massage, others may just need time alone. We cannot honestly give to others if we are not in a good place within ourselves. We need to remember and respect that.

Remember to take care of yourself
and each other!

  1. Love the sound of your #1. A nice walk. I need to do that too. Agree with your other 3 answers. God says 'do not fear' and I really try to live that out, but my goodness, that is really being put to the test these days. It is even more so when I consider my children and their love of travel and missions.....can I bear to see them get on a plane, and fly somewhere in this uncertain and faltering world? Whew. Need more prayer!!!

    Hugs, friend.

  2. What a cute kitten picture....I have a massage coming up, and really look forward to it. I think it is part of what keeps me healthy. And I try not to worry about whether I am safe and secure, just be aware of what is around me.

  3. This is one of the perfect times of the year to take walks, and what beautiful colors are around this fall. It's funny you mention safety these days. Even my little almost 5 year old grandson notice a truck sitting near the bus stop, and his reaction was, What's that man doing there? Thank goodness though, but sad that we have to teach such awareness to our youngsters.

  4. Oops, I forgot to mention, what an adorable back rubbing kitty cat! That really caught my attention in my blog roll. Super-duper cool!

  5. There are some deep truth in your answers. We live in a challenging time where security and safety is concerned. We sometime jump to conclusion too fast and misjudge people sometimes and we do need to take care of ourselves in order to be able to care for others.
A good walk with Stella in the morning sounds really nice and I bet she loves it too.

I'd want a kitty that gives free massage for a meal. Sounds heavenly.
    Have a great week.
    Hugs,

  6. I love your answers, especially #4.
    I would enjoy a massage.
When our cat is kneading our bed at night, hubby says he's making biscuits.
One of our cats sleeps with us. He is missed when he decides to stay outside or sleep on the couch.

    Blessings!

  7. Safety has always been in degree -- we are safer in some places than in others -- but there has never been complete safety. It's okay, though, if we are measuring risk correctly and taking only those risks that are least likely to cause harm. It's a risk to get in my car each day, but i have to get Little Girl to school. It's a foolish, excessive risk to drive terribly while getting her there.

  11. awwww, kitty massage! that is adorable.
I am absolutely convinced in the healing balm and calm that an animal cuddled up close to you can provide. Cashew just stayed close to me all day the other day as I stayed glued to the terrible events unfolding in my city. But it was nice to have his soft, warm presence. Life is still full of beautiful things and moments.
    Love #4.

  14. The video is so darn cute. I feel very lucky that I feel reasonably safe where we live. I even got up in the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago and walked down the street to the corner to get some photos of the eclipse. I was mugged back in the 60s and still get freaked out when I hear footsteps on the sidewalk behind me, even in broad daylight. And I do remain careful at all times, especially if alone anywhere. Your answer on #3 has always been my believe. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with respect. If you are the CEO you need to be just as respectful of the janitor as you are your top executives. Please try to join us tomorrow for our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. 16. Gosh - how I miss my cat when I see that gif... I used to love it when she was kneading me and purring so loud. So, very calming and nice.
And yes, we all need 'me time' or 'together time' to be able to function well. I sometimes have hard time understanding why some people don't see or understand that.

  17. It is scary how many bad things happen.

I agree about judging...always get both sides of the story.

    ENJOY your Sunday.

  18. How was your walk with Stella? I love walks with Pico! He likes to stop and sniff everything and play in the grass, and it's fun to watch him enjoy the world around him.

A big YES to #4... it's so important to remember to be kind to yourself, too!

Have a great rest of your weekend! :)
