Full Fill-In #188

The "Follow Friday Four Fill-In" is hosted by Hilary at Feeling Beachie. Each week, she posts statement with blanks. Our mission, should we choose to accept, is to copy the statement and fill in the blanks on our blogs. Then link up to her blog for sharing. Hilary is always looking for co-hosts and more statements for us to fill in. Please visit her, and let her know your suggestions!

The statements & My Answers: #188:

1. What could possibly happen if everyone thought about how their actions affect others? I suspect it would benefit everyone and be a better world.

2. Do you think a book can change your life? While it may not change your life, it can expand awareness and thinking which could certainly change your life. Books are powerful portals to knowledge, capable of bringing about positive change on many levels.

3. Does a day really make a difference? I believe that it does. I often will sleep on something that is bothering me, rather than taking an action that I may regret. Sometimes a new day will give you a new perspective.

4. Feeling a cold floor under my feet is a rude awakening. When at home, I like to wear thick, warm socks most of the time. Having had issues with my ankles and feet, even slippers can be uncomfortable at times

Enjoy your weekend!

  3. I agree with all your answers. A book did changed my life and as a matter of fact many boos have changed my life. I no longer take things personally because now I know it's not all about me but how someone sees me through their own perspective and usually they are the ones with problems.

Have a good day Annie. It's raining here at the moment.
    Hugs,

  4. Good job on these answers MA...I love the picture of the kitten with the unrolled toilet paper. Interesting thought on books. There is so much to be gleaned from books, especially non-fiction. The other item is travel....opens up a whole new world of reality. Just following blogs from other countries has broadened my horizons.

  11. Fantastic answers as always, and I especially like how you sleep on something before making a decision. No knee-jerk decisions...bad idea.

Your floor answer is perfect...I could only think of carpet. BORING. :)

  13. If everyone even thought about others instead of just themselves, it would make a huge impact on the world! So many are very self-focused, and forget they are part of the whole, part of the family of man.

Reading, from the time I was young, has opened my eyes to the world, and
has transformed my life in ways too many to count! I would dare say I have obtained more of an education through reading than I ever did in school!

It is very true that waiting one day can change perspective, and one's reactions. Of course, it takes patience to do that. Patience is not my strong suit, as we know. :-)

I can't do cold floors either, in fact I have a small ceramic heater on the floor near my desk at work, just to keep my toes cozy when it's too cool, summer or winter. (Then tend to run the AC in our building at about 64... ridiculous!)

  14. A day is all it takes to change our world forever as evidenced by JFK's death and others or the attacks on 9/11. Most of us don't make everyday, "count." I promised myself I would back in 1997 when I came super close to dying. Unfortunately as time has gone by, I have lost that. You always give me lots to think about with your fill-ins. Hugs, Janet

  18. Ha - that kitty looks exactly like Cashew, and yes - he has pulled the toilet paper off the roll.
I always try to remind my kids that they are not an island unto themselves -- everything they do and say affects another person. You can't drive yourself crazy about every little thing you do: but you can learn to be mindful about your actions.
