I did not know about melons. I generally don't offer any people food, but Left Brain and Gracie seem to have a shared snacking habit. Thankfully George seems to like wet cat food almost exclusively to everything else, including treats.
Very important to know and follow!

Yes, dog food can be especially bad for cats, just as cat food is too high in fat and protein for dogs. Some dog foods have preservatives in them that a cat's body can't metabolize properly, or so i've been told.Excellent tips to keep in mind as the kids will want to give treats to the cats for the holidays.
Thanks so much for sharing this, Annie. Some things confused me a little bit. I know lots of people serve their cats a raw diet, but it says raw meat and fish are bad. I'll have to see what other info is at Vet-Medic. Thanks and hugs, Janet
Good to know. A lot of good advice.Hugs,JB
This is so helpful - thank you!! I knew about chocolate, but there are a lot of raisins around this house because it's a great snack for kids --- but good to know, not so much for cats!
That's a great graphic - thanks for sharing.
Always interested in learning what is best for kitties!
