The Cure

It has been a long, cold, wicked Winter. Most of us have some form of cabin fever and are trying to "think Spring". We just need something to help get us there, so we rely on our favourite interests, activities, or hobbies. Sure, there are movies and TV, but some of us need a bit more excitement than "awards" shows. We need something to cheer us up, or maybe something just to cheer for. There is something just right for that!

Yep, it is time...for the Daytona 500! NASCAR is back. Let's Go Racin'!

  1. Cute kitties. I tried to watch nascar racing once. I'm just too impatient to see who wins. LOL Have a fun afternoon!

  3. Ah yes, spring is in the air and the roar of the cars is on the TV. It was a good race, much better than any award show. There is nothing like the Daytona 500 to cure cabin fever.

  15. Not a race fan, but I do have the worst case of the Winter blahs, which is why I haven't been around in a while. I cannot seem to get motivated. I think about you everyday, Annie, and you remain in my prayers. I hope your ribs are healing and both you and Chloe Jo are feeling well. Take care. Love and hugs, Janet

  17. I love to watch kittens play together. They are so much fun. Like I said a thousand times, if we had a nice piece of property and a good place to keep them warm in the winter then I'd love to have outdoor pets ~ kittens & puppies alike. Animals give a lot of joy. DH likes NASCAR. I can't seem to follow that round and round motion for too long. Besides that, I get totally confused with who's actually winning the race. My brain just isn't hard wire to enjoy this sport, but I do love the drivers and their fans. They are some of the best ever! I know it's a heck of a lot colder in Illinois than here, so keep warm! My spirit is calling, "Oh, spring, oh spring, where art thou?"

  18. I laughed so hard!!
the older cat at the beginning is first "oh you kids better settle...... nah, screw it, lemme drive too!" LOL
Cashew seems to have this energy at like 11 pm at night when the rest of us want to go to bed, and you can hear him out in the living room and kitchen slipping and sliding all over the wood floor. and crashing. yep... with the crashing. oye.
