  1. I loved reading Dr. Seuss' nonsensical, rhyming stories to our children. What a great bio on Seuss! I didn't know these things about him. I do remember reading somewhere that one of his teachers thought he would never make it as a writer. I guess that goes to show, teachers are not always right. lol

  2. The effect of Dr. Seuss' on readers and loving to read is similar to the Harry Potter stories for children of this age. My grandson is enjoying reading because of these books.

    1. Dr. Seuss is timeless. The Lorax is my favourite, and even more relevant today than when it was written.

  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dr Seuss.
I read Dr Seuss books to my kids when they were little. They came in the mail and it was a delight to read. My grandson James wanted to dress as the Cat in the Hat for Halloween. People thought he made a cute Cat in the hat... My daughter is reading Dr Seuss' books to her kids and my granddaughter read them to my great grandson.
    Hugs,
