After the Rain

This young robin was taking advantage

of the warm rain that brought fresh worms.

He seemed thankful for the bounty.

The Irises were all in bloom,

and stretching to shed the raindrops,

to show themselves in all of their glory.

~Thanks to Bill, who took these pictures at a
rest stop just east of Little Rock, Arkansas~

  6. We have crows that come in droves to the field across the street after rain to catch the worms and bugs. They are fun to watch, too.

  9. Iris... I love them, especially purple. They have the best fragrance! We have one all alone female turkey that has been coming up to the house after or during rain. We noticed yesterday she has only one eye but she seems to be doing fine. We look for her after every rain.. :)
