Whispered

She stood there, suitcase in hand, unsure if she could really do it. She was frozen with the fear of leaving, but also that of staying. Thoughts of all that had happened over the years raced through her mind.

From deep within her, a whisper said, “You have survived.” Somehow, as she walked out the door, she knew that she would be fine.

  7. Another strong woman inspired to write about a strong woman by a quote from a strong woman. I like that.

  8. Sometimes we have to stop and let the whispers be heard above the shouting of negative thoughts. Why is it the "I can't" seems so much louder than the "I can" in our heads? Or is it just me that has that problem? Takes courage to listen to the whisper and take that first step. Good for the woman in your story! Thanks for sharing with In Other Words your inspiring and encouraging story.

  10. It amazes me how much you can pack into a paragraph. You have my mind racing to think of what happened before. Great photo too.
