Fog

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

~Carl Sandburg

Fog is as silent and as mysterious as a cat. Simply stated, I have always loved the way this poem brings together nature and man, by way of animal. Even as a child, I realized this.

Please read my Challenge Reveal Post for insight on the poetry that I chose to share here.

  2. A lovely cat poem. I saw a rug designed by Gene Shepherd using this poem and it a beautiful rug. You're right, the fog is as mysterious as a cat.
    Have a good day.
