You Say

You say I am mysterious.
Let me explain myself:
In a land of oranges
I am faithful to apples.

~Elsa Gidlow

Succinct and to the point, I see myself here. I have always followed my own heart and soul. My conscience leads the way, even when the journey is not an easy or popular one. As the old saying goes, “What matters most is how you see Yourself.”

Please read my Challenge Reveal Post for insight on the poetry that I chose to share here.

  2. Better to be a true apple than a false orange.

  3. It's so important, how we see ourselves. It's interesting that we can so much more easily pick out the great attributes from others than we can to ourselves. Glad I found you through the A to Z Challenge!

  5. This is great!! People tend to see anyone or anything that is different from them as "mysterious". I am not sure why it is so difficult to fathom that there are many paths in life and many ways to walk them, each much choose what is right for them. How sad and dull life would be if we were all exactly the same! :-)

    1. We each have a purpose, we just need to find it. We also need to allow others to choose their own way. We need to respect that.

  6. That was terrific! Lots of humans should use fewer words.

  7. This is my new favorite of your a-z challenge. You keep outdoing yourself. I really enjoyed several of the ones you have written yourself too, but this one I can really relate too.
