  1. I love peonies, they're so pretty. I wonder what it is about them that attracts ants, though! :-)

    1. The ants are attracted to the nectar. As they eat the nectar, it helps the heavy blooms open. Nature in action!

  4. Peonies smell heavenly, and this one is a true beauty! There is something about pure white blossoms against dark leaves that makes them stand out perfectly! Thank you for sharing from your garden with us!

  5. Thanks for answering that ant question, Annie. I have always wondered about that. I always want to bring some in the house for a bouquet, but I I can never get the ants off. This is gorgeous. Our peonies are long gone now. Hugs and love, Janet

  6. Our peonies were gone over a month ago and they were battered by rain and hail. I will enjoy this pretty one you have here!

  10. Oh so pretty!! I just bought a white peony bush like this the other day. I have a huge pink bloom one and I thought it would be nice contrast. It's so small right now so I won't see blooms until next year.
