The Hollyhock Bees

We have a Hollyhock forest,
with traditional and double blooms.

The Hollyhock are filled with these busy bees.

I love to watch them gather pollen.

The bees become so heavy they can hardly fly!

Fascinating to watch, they are not bothered by me.

I think a flower is even more beautiful with a bee on it.

I love them as much as the flowers.

  3. Lovely flowers, and i enjoy watching the bees. The honey bees really don't mean us any harm if we will stay out of their way.

  4. Gorgeous...both bees and flowers. With so many bees dying off it is nice to see these very industrious ones. Sending love and hugs, Janet

  9. I love Hollyhocks and they do look better with a bee. The climate is a bit too hot for them here. If you shade them and water them well during June, July, you can sometimes get them to do well. That is one thing I noticed going Northward, the flowers are so beautiful.

  11. Your hollyhocks are gorgeous! I haven't taken one hollyhock pic this year, usually I'm able to get a few snapshots at least. I'll have to content myself with yours!

  14. Gorgeous!! I want these flowers. I don't think I get enough sun in my backyard to grow them however. Thankfully I have enough Bee Balm to keep the bees full and heavy! LOL
