Friendly Fill-ins: Week 14

Welcome to "Friendly Fill-Ins"! You can find the fill-ins here or at each Thursday. The first two fill-ins are provided by my co-host, Ellen. The final two statements are offered by myself. We have posted a link so we can all share the completed fill-ins.

We thank you for joining us each week. Your participation is very important. Sharing with you and getting to know you better through your answers is what it is all about. Please remember to visit everyone on the list.

I promise to visit, too. It has been unusually hectic here lately, but I am hoping it will settle down soon. Life happens to each and every one of us and deserves our full attention. Thank you for understanding. I appreciate it.

Here are my completed fill-ins for this week:

1. My nickname is Annie. My first name is McGuffy, and my middle name is Ann. Everyone who knows me calls me Annie. However, Bill has always called me Brat...and he still does.

2. The first thing I ever won was a Spelling Bee. It was a third-grade classroom contest and quite competitive. There was no trophy, but I did win a Hershey bar. Chocolate is always a good prize!

3. I have never been to Spain...but, I've been to Oklahoma. Come on, you had to see that coming! *wink*

4.  Next year I hope and pray that things will be more peaceful in the world at large.

That's all for nowHave a great weekend!

Now, it's your turn. Please link up with us here. Or, you can answer in the comments

  1. We hope you're feeling better and that things are "good" for you REAL SOON Miss Annie! We also like your fill-ins this week....Mom says she's never been to Oklahoma or Spain (hahaha). Here's to a happy Friday!

    Love, Sammy
p.s. we love the cat closing the door - so funny!

  2. My prayer is for peace, also. Thanks for hosting!

  3. Yes, life does happen to all of us. We can all only do what we can do.

Love your answers and the pictures! Have a great week!

  4. These are great! I love that your name is McGuffy - so unique and special. I also love the name Annie. Purrs and peace to you!

  5. Good Morning Annie!
My nickname is Pix... short for Pixie. Given to by my godfather when I was born.
The first thing I ever won was, oh my gosh I don't know... probably something to do with horses.
I have never been to the Kentucky Horse Park and I WANT to go.
Next year I am going to skip summer and go straight to fall!

Yes to your #4!!! Love #3 and the kitty closing the door!
    Thanks Annie!

  6. I love your answers! I almost put Spain too :) I didn't realize your first name was McGuffy, I like that. And how cute that Bill calls you Brat :) I like all the photos you picked to go with your answers too.I hope you feel better soon and are less busy. XO

  7. Yes, I pray 2017 will be much better!!

  8. I hope you're feeling better soon too Annie. Brat, I like that... I think....
I really enjoyed the music and I've never been to Spain or Oklahoma either but I've been to Glasgow Scotland and Florida. Love the last mini video of the kitten closing the door. haha. cute.
    Have a good weekend

  9. Super answers!! What a cool first name you have!!!!

    The Florida Furkids

  10. Good answers and terrific memes. The final clip of kitty closing the bathroom door is priceless. It makes us all so sad that you have not been doing well Annie. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Have a nice and restful weekend. With much love and hugs, Janet

  11. Prayers and purrs that you will start feeling great very soon!
Loved your answer to #4! Have a great weekend!

  12. Great answers! I'd be just fine with chocolate always being the prize in life! As for your nickname, well, Bill knows you best! ;-) Yes, I had a feeling you might do that with #3, very clever! I am so with you on #4, I a truly saddened by how dark and negative the world has been this year, we need a year of more reasons to celebrate life and each other!

  13. I think that McGuffy is an interesting first name. I've seen it as a surname, but never a first name. I am somewhat attached to the name "Ann" or "Anne" as it is part of my name, too. I especially love the name "Annie" as it was my great-grandmother's name, hence the name of my blog. I was named for her and her sister Suzie. :) I've been called "Brat" a time or two or a zillion myself. haha

All of the photos are great. I especially love the little kitty with its tongue sticking out and think the one with the flowers on the kitty's head is beautiful. It has a very nice sentiment, too.

I hope that you're feeling better soon, Annie. You're in my prayers. {{{Hugs}}} Have a great weekend.

  14. Chocolate beats any other prize any day of the week. In a spelling bee I would win the prize for first to sit down.

  15. We loved the fill-ins. We are getting ours out shortly. Annie feel better...the purring factory is on high alert so I shall contact them to start the purrrrrrrs arollin.
