Red Admiral

I recently had the pleasure of this visitor.

I was intrigued by his grey under wing,

and colourful top wing.

The Red Admiral (Vanessa Atalanta)
is a Brush-footed Butterfly...and a beauty.

    1. It is the same one! I had never seen one before, but he kept coming back all weekend. He liked the Zinnia.

  2. Very lovely. I have been so delighted to see so many more butterflies this summer than in past years. How are your feeling, Annie? I hope you are over your cold and able to enjoy fall. Sending lots of love and hugs, Janet
