Friendly Fill-ins: Week 34

Welcome to "Friendly Fill-Ins"! You can find the fill-ins here or at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. The first two fill-ins are provided by my co-host, Ellen. The final two statements are offered by myself. We have posted a link so we can all share the completed fill-ins.

We thank you for joining us each week. Your participation is very important. Sharing with you and getting to know you better through your answers is what it is all about. Please remember to visit everyone on the list. Thank you!

Okay, let's get this party started!

1. The highlight of my Christmas was having Bill home. We were able to take Stella & Kenzie to visit family, too. The cats stayed home to be spoiled by their sitter, who did just that.

2. My New Year's resolution is “hiss less, purr more”. Attitude is critical in all things. To be a positive force, you have to have a positive attitude. I would rather be part of a solution than part of a problem.

3. This year, 2016, was difficult in many ways, for many people. The world is a very scary place, where it seems anything goes. Man thinks he has all of the answersObviously, man is wrong

 4. Next year, 2017, I am hopeful that the tide will turn, bringing back some of the morals, values, and kindnesses that we seem to have forgotten...but so desperately need.

Our Maisie, helping raise orphaned kittens

Wishing you a year filled with fun surprises!

  1. I think I'm going to resolve to do the same thing! It's so easy to complain, without even bothering to try to be part of the solution.

  2. These are all great answers. I am glad that Stella and Kenzie got to go visiting with you and the kitties were spoiled.

I have been in hiss mode lately, and need to find my way out of that. Without a break, I don't know how that will happen, but I still need to try.

I love all the photos you have shared, especially the one of Maisie with the kitties. So sweet! Our Shep loved kitties, too, and they would sleep with her.

Have a blessed day and a Happy New Year!

  3. Annie, so glad to hear your Christmas was a good one. A positive attitude can carry you through this life with less bumps. It won't fix everything but it sure helps with the way you get through the difficult parts. So, hissing less and purring more is a great idea. I like the one that I don't need resolutions, I'm already purrrfect! I may have to borrow that one, if you don't mind. :) I'm not gonna make any resolutions but I do have certain goals I want to work toward. Maybe I'll get them accomplished but if not I'll try again the following new year. I hope 2017 brings better health your way, continued happiness & love, and success in all you do. XOXO

  8. What wonderful answers to all of these! I am so glad that you and Bill got to spend Christmas together. And I just love your answer to #2 - it's so true, and I should add this to my list of resolutions. There is so much truth in your answers to #3 and #4 as well, and I am of the same mind as you for both of them. Thank you so much for always hosting this great challenge, and we will of course continue to join you in the New Year! A very happy New Year to you and your family!

  11. The highlight of my Christmas was dinner... :)
My New Year's resolution is I don't do New Year's resolutions.
The year 2016 was challenging in more ways than I could imagine.
Next year, 2017, looks to be a challenge too.

Annie, kindness is the real deal. If we could just ALL be kind to all... the world would be a better place. Tall order I suppose!
