Today is the third and final day of the Three Day Quote Challenge. For me, this was a challenge. To choose just three favourite quotes was very difficult. I love quotes, as I usually find strength or wisdom in them. Of course, others may make me upset. However, those make me seek wisdom.
The quote I chose today is from the wisdom of the Dalai Lama. I believe that he is another wise man given to mankind to teach and guide us. It is up to us to learn our lessons well.
"Our prime purpose in life is to help
others. And if you can't help them,
at least don't hurt them."
On this final day of the quote challenge, I nominate:
I have always found quotes meaningful. I find them to be an anchor or a way of grounding me to a moment or situation. I often find wisdom in them. There are some quotes that are a part of my daily thinking. I shared some of those with you here on this blog.
I have been nominated by PrincessJM, of Ramblings of an Old Soul, to participate in the "Three Day Quote Challenge". The rules of the challenge are simple. They are as follows: 1. Post for three consecutive days. 2. Choose and share one or three quotes each day. 3. Challenge three additional bloggers each day. Today is Day 1 of my challenge. I am sharing a quote that has always fascinated me. I first read it when I was very young, about age 12. I was intrigued enough to read whatever I could by the author, Edgar Allen Poe. I am still fascinated. Here is the deeply thoughtful quote:
She stood there, suitcase in hand, unsure if she could really do it. She was frozen with the fear of leaving, but also that of staying. Thoughts of all that had happened over the years raced through her mind.
From deep within her, a whisper said, “You have survived.” Somehow, as she walked out the door, she knew that she would be fine.
I am away from home this week. Bill and I have been at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN). We are looking into finding resolution for some of my health issues. What was supposed to have taken a couple of days is taking much longer than we thought it would. Mayo is very thorough.
I will explain all of this once I am back home. I hope everyone is safe, warm, and well. Take care of your loved ones...and yourself. Hugs!
