Reserved Seating

On a summer visit to GrandDad’s, Jessi asked him to tell her about life in the North Woods.

Pleased, he shared tales about life in a log cabin, about making midnight trips to the two-seater outhouse, and the many wonders of the great outdoors. GrandDad stressed the importance of nature, and to always respect wildlife.

Jessi was fascinated with his colourful stories, but very confused about a “two-seater” outhouse.

Grinning, GrandDad explained: when going to the outhouse, if you came upon a bear using it, you showed respect and left him alone. But you could still use the other seat.

"Tough Love"

Wishing you lots of sweetness
Happy Valentine's Day

I know that I have been a bit scarce, but I am working on that. Some things just need more immediate attention than others. Life is like that. Vet appointments, persistent laptop/ computer issues, medical appointments, all adds up to a list of things that have to be dealt with. Now.

However, a really good thing right now is that Bill has been home. Of course, that always takes priority. He is working on some changes in his trucking schedule and home time. Life decisions are always heavy ones, taking time and careful consideration.

So, I am not really missing. I am still here, right where I left myself. I promise that I will catch up on visiting, as well as posting. As always, thanks for your understanding. I really do appreciate it, and you.

Knowing her competition
of mood du jour,
she could not resist
the spotlight’s allure.
Aghast at her failure,
no call for encore,
she hid behind
a double-locked door.
She could never outdo
another one’s win.
She’s a self-made winner
with a counterfeit spin.
