Thanks for joining us for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. The first two fill-ins are always provided by Ellen. The final two statements are offered by myself. You are welcome to answer in the comments, but if you link up, more people can share!
Bill would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. It is just nice to have him home on the weekends. The furkids and I are happy whenever Dad is home. He works hard, so it nice to see him relax and have fun. We wish he could have more fun time.
I have finished putting the yard to bed for the year. It was quite a job! Last week it rained, so this week was catch up. I definitely needed to mow. I also had leaves to rake and pine needles to pick up. Finally, I had cut everything down that was finished for the year. Bill will probably burn off the pile of clippings, branches, etc. when he turns the garden this weekend. I need to make sure that the snow blower is in good working order, too. Snow is inevitable as the year winds down.
Thank you to those who have begun participating in Sparks. This positive energy is very inspiring. The Sparks link-up is open each from Monday at 12:00 AM through Friday at 11:59 PM. Everyone is welcome. Let's share words of encouragement, hope, and goodness. We really are the lights of the world, each and every one of us.
The fill-ins were thought-provoking for me. Here are my completed statements.
1. If I was a ghost, I would haunt no one. I would haunt nothing. I would be too busy reuniting with loved ones on The Other Side, both flesh and fur!
3. My favourite scary story is The Tell-Tale Heart, by Edgar Allen Poe. It was required reading in my seventh grade English class. This was the first Poe story that I ever read, and I was impressed with the simple terror of this story. Poe was quite brilliant. He remains one of my favourite authors of dark literature.
4. I will be so glad when I have completed downsizing my “stuff” to a bare minimum. This has been a work in progress for a couple of years. It is stressful and time-consuming. But, finally, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
