Kaleidoscope of Sound: Q

Bill said, "Chuck Berry was an original. His playing technique wasn't refined, but was "close enough for rock and roll", as a guitar player would say. If a chord is played off-key, a rock guitarist might call them "jazz" chords. Chuck played a lot of "jazz" chords on this video. He was an outstanding entertainer with huge stage presence. He deserves to be on this list, too."

  2. He was a favorite and really got the crowd moving. He's a great choice. A very inspirational entertainer. I admire him for being married for so long to the same woman while in the entertainment business.

    Thanks for the video.

  4. chuck berry was an awesome entertainer with an impressive song list; one wonders where "rock" would be if not for his presence in the mid 50's !! ☺☺♥♥

  6. Did you know that Chuck Berry was working on a new album when he passed away? It will be coming out in June. There's several new songs floating around on the internet, but my favorite is "Big Boys"

    1. Bill said, "Yes, I have heard Big Boys. In fact, I am listening to it right now (again). It is very true to his early roots! His vocals are exceptional, considering his age (89) when he recorded it."
