Vacation

With much planning, I was finally spending my vacation in Roswell, New Mexico. I had been fascinated with Roswell and its connection to UFOs for as long as I could remember.

I took guided tours to really get to know the area. I wanted to take in the sights and history of Roswell, in all its glory. I watched others and I listened to their colourful stories. I wanted to hear what others may have experienced and felt. I wanted to know what drew them here.

It was exciting to think of the possibility that extraterrestrials could be here in our midst. However, I was amused to see the statues of “alien life forms”. I wondered how this small statured, big-eyed, green creature idea got started.

I chuckled, thinking if they only knew that most extraterrestrials looked and acted just like them. I ought to know: I am one.

  1. Yes, if they want to be here undetected, they would have to be able to blend in. Very nice story!

  4. Annie,

Extraterrestrial life is intriguing and it's fun to imagine but I believe if intelligent life form existed beyond our world that God would've mentioned it to us in His word. Or...He might have thought, "I think I'll have some fun. I will keep man thinking on this one." :) Enjoy your vacation!

    1. No, vacation here, Cathy! Bill is working 6 days a week, but just due to poor planning from his dispatch not for extra money (sadly).
The photo prompt given this week (by Priceless Joy) inspired this little piece of fiction in me. It is fun to do a bit of humour sometimes. It stretches my creativity, which is good for my imagination.

  6. I love the "alien" viewpoint. I'm sure they have their legends of explorers sailing off to new worlds and what they find. Of course the human idea of everything looking similar to us never gets old

  10. That was a great twist at the end! It's funny to think that none of us know what extraterrestrials look like...unless, like you, we happen to be one ourselves. Lol.
