The Anniversary Dinner

It was the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding. She set out their best bird of paradise china, as she did every year. It looked so nice with his favourite dinner of breaded pork chops.

She knew he would no longer be here for the celebration. What mattered was that she celebrated their love, just as she always had.

  10. A heartfelt story. Reminds me of one of the last memories of my grandparents celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary shortly before my grandfather died.
