Friendly Fill-ins: Week 86

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. You are welcome to answer in the comments, but if you link up, more people can share.

The holidays have been busy here! I am grateful to be blessed with sharing the special times with Bill and the critters. Being together, like it used to be, is truly wonderful.

New Year’s Eve we will be at Bill’s friend’s place. They will be playing music. I will be “with the band”, meaning listening to them. I am so happy that Bill is able to have the time and opportunity to play music. Consequently, I will be essentially unplugged this weekend. I will read and catch up as I am able to. Thank you for understanding.

Sparks will be open Monday through Friday. Come, join us. Share yours whenever you are able to. It is amazing what positive energy is generated there! Thank you. You all inspire me.

Please know that I wish you a new year filled with many blessings and much happiness. I look forward to more mutual sharing of this journey called Life. Hugs!

1. On New Year's Eve, I attend Mass. I pray diligently for peace and guidance, strength and wisdom. I know if I have those, I will be okay whatever comes. Ending one year and beginning the next with gratitude and hope is important to me. Yes, then we can celebrate with music and friends! Bill has played music with the same guys (whenever possible) for almost 30 years. They are all decent guys, too.

2. One goal I have for 2018 is to get some household projects finished, now that Bill is home more. There are some things that need to be re-done or updated. It will be great to have them all done!

3. In 2017, I accomplished maintaining peace of mind. Health concerns (ours and furkids), job changes, life changes, sorrows, etc. can be draining. It is seriously difficult to maintain peace when you are not settled within your own spirit. Those who were always there, and continue to be, mean more than I can say. I am here for you, too. Namasté.

4. I found and kept my spiritual groove in 2017. It has helped me to find the balance (again) between myself and the world at large. When things get stressful, it is easy to lose your place. But, I worked on it, and on me. It is okay; I am okay.

~Here's to 2018 beginning on a good note!~
Happy New Year!

  3. YAY for a new year coming and a chance to somewhat "start over". Glad you got your groove on this past year - I think I did too in some ways but I also believe even after 70 years I'm still a work in progress. I hope you and Bill and the kitties have a wonderful 2018 - we ALWAYS have hope!

    Hugs, Pam

  4. Annie,

I'm with you on keeping my inner peace in check this past year. It was definitely a challenge at times but I know the One who holds my hand also hold my future and everything will be okay. It's just this pesky human side of me that often gets in the way. :) Hopefully, life for us both in the coming new year will be void of negativity and lots of good vibes will fill our soul, the impossible will be possible, health, mind, and body all in check, projects and repairs crossed off the list, and so much more. Thank you for being a dear, sweet friend this year and I look forward to continue the process of bonding with you in 2018. Who knew blogging would be a gateway to so much goodness? Ask God to bless you and Bill in all that you do in 2018, my friend! Happy new year! ;)

  9. Balance and moderation is key to a good life. Sometimes it's hard to achieve, but knowing it's essential is the first step.

I'm glad you're going to have more time with Bill this coming year. I sure enjoy spending time with my husband.

Have a fabulous day and a purrfect Feline Friday. Big hugs. ♥

  10. You are a wise woman my friend. Balance in our life is most important and right, my life isn't balanced as well as it could be. Too much work and not enough play...

  17. I should make the same goal for 2018. We've lived in this house for over 12 years and there's still an unfinished project from when we moved in! Who needs trim around a door, right?

  18. Annie, your completions were so thoughtful, was they always are. It makes me ashamed of what I came up with this week. 2017 hasn't been the best year, and I like how you plan to begin the new one. I continue to pray for you, Bill and your furry family and that will not stop in 2018. We will spend New Year's Eve at home, as we always do, but will go to a party New Year's Day afternoon. I look forward to our continued friendship in 2018. Love and hugs, Janet

  21. I'm glad one of us is alright. Unfortunately, we don't see nothing but the same in 2018 and it's depressing. Enjoy the band and have a Happy New Year.
