Sparks:13

Happy New Year!

When I began blogging, it was my intent to post an inspirational thought each Monday. It would be my weekly meditation, and perhaps feed another’s spirit as well. I am always inspired by the positive energy of my peers.

Sadly, the negative energy in the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a serious part of this dark, negative storm. There is an obvious universal need for more positive energy. We do not have to succumb to the negativity. We can all be part of the change we wish to see in the world, to quote Gandhi.

I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!

I invite you to join us. Please link up a positive quote, thought, poem, story, or verse.  Be creative; be positive. Remember to add the Sparks badge to your post. We want to invite others to add their Sparks. The more, the merrier! Peace be with you throughout this new year.

  3. Happy New Year Annie! Isn't it wonderful to start off the New Year with a SPARK?! I think the best thing about inspiration is that it doesn't have to be complicated - simple things can inspire; a sunny day, a smile from a stranger, it can MAKE our day. Thanks to you for inspiring the rest of us to become lights in our own unique way on Mondays. Here's to a great year ahead...........

    Hugs, Pam

  10. Happy New Year! I'll share here scripture from my devotions yesterday that just seem perfect to me for New Year's Day. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:21-23)

  12. Happy New Year and what a most wonderful Spark! This last winter has been very sismal in the Pacific North West. The transformation on poeple's faces when a ray of light breaks its way through the clouds is miraculous! And how it lifts the spirits...astonishing!
    Much love and Happiness
